In this workshop, you will have the opportunity to practice maintaining and setting limits with others. With an instructor as a coach, you will practice tools in scenarios with another instructor who will take on varied roles (e.g. student asking for the rules to be overlooked; a toxic colleague; an intrusive stranger). This is an opportunity for participants to reflect upon their personal and professional boundaries, to learn and reinforce practical tools and strategies for dealing with people who “cross the line,” and to practice effective boundary-setting in real-life situations in a safe environment.

The Art of Encouragement
E5 circles are based on Adlerian psychology principles, which provide opportunities to empower yourself and others by identifying strengths, abilities, contributions and connections through the practice of equality, empathy, encouragement, education and empowerment (E5). Each participant will experience the encouragement process both as a giver and a receiver of encouragement. During each session, participants will share personal life experiences by choosing two of Adler's six pathways to understanding self and others: early memory, family constellation, childhood challenges, day and night dreams, childhood changes or story slice of life. The art making process will be utilized to enhance this experience for personal insight, understanding and reflection. No prior art experience is necessary. It is about the process and the experience, not the product.
